We first met Molly and Rob last year during their engagement session. They were supposed to get married in the fall of 2021, but due to the crazy timing, chose to reschedule their wedding to early summer of 2022. When they told us their new wedding venue, we were thrilled to step in and do their Tollander Tree Farm Wedding Photography for the day. Molly and Rob tied the knot on June 4th, 2022.Both Courtney and I giggled when people asked us if we were “familiar” with Tollander Tree Farm in Kimball, Michigan. You see, a fun fact about the two of us is that we grew up less than a mile away from each other. We graduated high school the same year, but from two different schools. We even had the exact same first job (Wadhams House of Pizza represent)…but we were like ships in the night. In fact, we even lived in Northern California the same years! But we never met until we moved back to Port Huron in 2016 and were in the same photography facebook group. As it happens, we have mutual friends and enjoy reminiscing our pasts, and laughing together about our super similar experiences. But our childhood homes were located right by Tollander Tree Farm. We both remember going there and choosing Christmas trees, and watching the tree farm evolve and grow into specializing in being a wedding venue. And what a beautiful venue it is. It felt like we were transported into the mountains with all the massive pine trees and greenery.

We loved hanging out with Molly and Rob again, too. Rob and his groomsmen were hysterical, and we started the day getting prepared at the Double Tree in Port Huron. Molly and the girls got ready at her parent’s home, and then they finally got to finalize their vows with Molly’s brother as officiant for the day. Their wedding party was so much fun and high energy, and Molly and Rob were giggly and truly enjoying their wedding day. The food was a big hit, too, as it was catered by Smoke on the Water BBQ– and the owner/chef was also a groomsman!
