If it looks like we’ve been at Solitude Links a lot lately, it’s because we have. And you know what? We love it every single time we go there. The staff is awesome (we’re all on a first-name basis) the food is great every time (yes, that’s important!) and things just run smoothly, overall, because of expertise in the industry, and planning. Connor and Katrena contacted us back in the early spring, because they had to switch their original wedding date and wanted someone local to photograph their Solitude Links marriage ceremony and reception. The kind folks over there gave them our info, and the rest is history. We met over Zoom (because hashtag Covid) and we had an awesome time learning about the two of them, how they met, and their love story. 

It makes our hearts sing with joy when a couple trusts us to capture their special wedding day, especially when they openly admit that they do not generally enjoy posed photos, and want us to focus more on the fun and candid “in between” moments. Luckily for them, those are our favorite moments, as well. We always make sure to get those posed photos, but the complete gallery tells the story of the day: the laughter, the jokes, the fun. And saying “ok, now everyone smile here” all day gets real old, real quick (for everyone.)

We got to explore the grounds at sunset- our favorite part. It’s just the 4 of us, and we get to take the good golf cart, and in the end of the summer, the Queen Anne’s lace is one of our ultimate favorite spots. The sunset didn’t disappoint that night, either. In fact, they had beautiful weather all day. It wasn’t really hot, and it wasn’t cold. The perfect Michigan summer evening.
