Amanda and Dylan tied the knot last Saturday and officially wrapped up our 2022 wedding season for the year. We loved spending the day as their Richmond Michigan Wedding Photographer team. Both Megan and Serena tackled this wedding together, since Courtney was out of town at her daughter’s gymnastics meet in Grand Rapids. 

Even though it was a December wedding in Michigan, Amanda and Dylan’s wedding went beautifully and their entire day and timeline was the perfect ending, and went off without a hitch. Michigan always seems to throw us some curve balls, weather-wise, and December it could definitely go one way or the other. The early evenings and night is a hurdle to always plan for, and that’s why we loved their 2pm wedding ceremony, and then we focused on photos until their reception entrance at 5.

Amanda and Dylan got married at a church in Richmond, Michigan. Then their wedding reception was at Solitude Links in Kimball, Michigan. We love going to Solitude because there are so many beautiful photo opportunities, and we lucked out with a cloudy day but a sunset where the sun finally peeked out. It was a cold day- around 35-40 degrees, but the wedding party powered through it like absolute champions and sucked it u for the photos. We also were able to capture some amazing portraits of the two of them, and have so many to deliver from that short amount of time because all the elements were there for the perfect portrait: beautiful location, good light, and awesome chemistry with the couple.

Amanda and Dylan have been dating quite a long time, and we loved hearing their tales college together and hearing those memories from their wedding party. Amanda’s sister Taylor did a speech that was great- full of sentiment and laughter. And their dance floor opened up and people were ready to party and dance the night away.
