CJ and Nicole’s wedding at the Port Huron DoubleTree Hilton Hotel was a beautiful and joyous occasion, filled with love, laughter, and special family moments. The couple tied the knot in a romantic ceremony overlooking the St. Clair River, followed by a super-fun reception in the hotel’s ballroom. 

Courtney and CJ went to high school together and are old friends, but we reconnected in a professional atmosphere a few years ago when we photographed their friend’s wedding at City Flats in Port Huron. They were very newly engaged (or about to become?) and were in the process of planning their own 2023 Port Huron DoubleTree Hilton Hotel Wedding. We got to hang out with them last autumn when we photographed their engagement session, too. We knew their party was going to be lit, and we were completely right. Their vows were sweet and they wrote their own that they read to each other from their vow books. They didn’t have a traditional wedding party and wanted to focus primarily on family photos- especially with their 3 kids.

Nicole’s dress was stunning; she was a classic and timelessly beautiful bride. CJ literally beamed at her during their first look, and was the epitome of #spousegoals, and also watching the two of them interact with their kids was so special. They really focused on their happiness of the entire day and experience, and included them in every single way imaginable.

The decor was gorgeous, and we also had a great time working with our favorite DJs: Ultimate Sounds. (The best in the biz.) The music and dance floor was the perfect combo of new hits & classics that are what the youths would call, “bops.” We had an awesome time and it was the perfect wedding day at one of our most-loved Port Huron wedding venues.  We hope you love this preview into their gorgeous wedding day.
