Jensen and Shaunell were officially our first 2020 wedding we booked- they originally contacted us and we did their engagement session in the fall of 2018! I vividly remember thinking “oh man, this is ages away” but the time came quicker than quick, and we’re so excited to hang out with them again when we did their Marysville Michigan Wedding Photography for their wedding day.The one thing that stands out in our head the most about Jensen and Shaunell is the word chemistry. These two beautiful women love each other with all their hearts, and never once had to be prompted to interact. They were always staring at each other with adorable faces that look like the heart eye emoji. They were always touching. Shaunell was always slightly touching Jensen, and Jensen never walked without being hand-in-hand with Shaunell. It was amazing to witness, and we’re so honored that they trusted us to capture their wedding day, and celebrate their love alongside them.

You’ll actually be seeing more of them shortly, because their “Til Death Do We Part” themed wedding encouraged us to do another session with them later in the fall, at night, in the cemetery. We knew that this was what Shaunell wanted for photos all along, but their timeline was pretty tight because it was a Friday evening wedding, and they didn’t want to leave their guests waiting too long while we escaped for photos. We were able to capture her second wish- someplace wooded. The dark greens of the trees popped against Jensen’s beautiful red hair (true story, as I was editing their photos, my son walked by and said “she looks like a elf princess. He’s very into Sci-Fi right now.) Shaunell’s all black look was so awesome, and the red tie and floral was perfect.
