Marysville Lifestyle Engagement Session | Casey & Philip
After a few re-schedules, we were finally able to meet up with Casey and Phil for their Marysville lifestyle engagement session. When we originally met with the two of them at The Raven in downtown Port Huron, we learned about some of their favorite things to do as a couple. We learned that they love their house in Marysville that they bought together, and their two sweet pups. Some of their common passions are exploring with their dogs on lots of walks around the city, and hanging out with each other. That’s why we suggested a really low-key lifestyle engagement session, where we’d simply tag along one of their favorite activities and document it.
The foliage this past weekend was seriously stunning- who would have thought that autumn would be so late, and stick around for as long as it has? While most people tend to prefer getting sessions in when the leaves are starting to change, our absolute favorite time is just after they’ve fallen (or are almost all on the ground.) It may seem like the unpopular opinion, but we once heard “well, people are on the ground- so the leaves being where the people are is best” and that’s truly something that has stuck with us. The leaves bring so much added texture, from the freshly fallen yellow and red ones, to the crunchy brown ones.
After their Marysville lifestyle engagement session portion, we headed to downtown Port Huron for some photos by the river and also in some of our more favorite “urban” locations down there. It’s pretty year round, but they were seriously troopers because it was especially chilly down by the water. They have a fun and playful love that was easy and natural to capture, and we had lots of fun exploring and giggling alongside them. We hope you love this preview, and if you’re getting married in 2022, we’d love to connect.
