Skylar and Alex had a beautiful Impression Farm Wedding and we loved being their photography team for the day. Speaking of the day; it was actually our last wedding together for the 2024 season- so that’s a wrap on our year 8 together.

Skylar and Alex both grew up in the small town of Memphis. They knew of each other since forever, but finally connected on a romantic level after high school. He’s the yin to her yang, and they complete each other so perfectly. Since they’re both born and raised in the country, getting married at a barn wedding venue in the Port Huron area just made complete sense.

Skylar and Alex’s wedding at Impression Farms was a stunning fall affair. The big red barn, a centerpiece of the venue, was adorned with rustic charm, its weathered wood and open lofts creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The day was a perfect autumnal blend of crisp air and vibrant colors. The leaves, painted in shades of red, orange, and yellow, danced in the gentle breeze, adding a touch of magic to the scene.

As the ceremony began, the couple stood in the field, surrounded by loved ones. Alex is a welder and went to the tech program, and welded a brand that the two of them branded on a cowhide together that will hang in their home for years down the road- it was such a unique and personal approach to the ceremony and we loved it!

The reception was held inside the barn, where tables were adorned with fall-themed centerpieces of pumpkins, gourds, and autumn foliage. The room was filled with laughter and music as guests danced the night away. The evening was a celebration of love, friendship, and so much fun with dancing and a lively party atmosphere with the bonfire and outdoor games.
