Mulberry & Sage got to ring in 2022 with a party this year, and we loved spending time with Andy and Jeff and being their The Holly Vault Collection wedding photography team for the evening. The fact that it was our very first New Year’s Eve wedding made the night even more special, and we quickly learned that it was quite the party scene, with a dance floor that was absolutely fire, and just a great atmosphere, all-around.

Andy and Jeff live in the Grand Rapids area, so all of our communications prior to their wedding were done via phone, which is fitting given the years and how we’ve all had to adapt our processes. We knew that they were eagerly planning their NYE wedding at Venue One Eleven, which is the newest wedding and event venue with The Holly Vault Collection. We were fortunate enough to have shot there once before in 2020, and loved it, and were excited to see it come to life on New Years Eve.

Their day was beautiful- we loved their floral arrangements done by Simply Beheld and any day is a good day when we get to spend it with our favorite girl Kristin from Ackerman & Co. The colors were a dark green, with a hint of gold accents. We especially loved the bridesmaid dresses, and the guy’s stylish skinny ties. Andy looked stunning, and was so full of fun expressions and made the entire evening truly fun to capture, as well as be around. Jeff and his groomsmen were so fun together, full of jokes and laugher.

Their ceremony was so sweet, and the twinkling candles were a beautiful touch in the ceremony room. Their reception room was awesome, with the green uplighting really setting a fun mood all around- as well as a subtle hint that they love their Michigan State Spartan football team. We got to hang out all the way to midnight to ring in the new year with party poppers, horns, and fun decor. It was a great experience and something we’ll never forget.
