Last Saturday we got to spend another weekend with Courtney’s family (this this time it was her side of the family.) Megan photographed Kyle and Lauren’s engagement session last year, and their August Blue Water Convention Center wedding came in a (what felt like) blink of an eye. 

Lauren is such a kind and sweet soul, and her and Kyle’s love for each other was super obvious the entire time. Courtney and I both said that it had been a few years since we had shot on the convention center side of the area (we’ve been at the adjoining Double Tree a lot though)- and had never done a wedding there that the ceremony was also on site. The ceremony location was decorated beautifully- we loved the exposed brick and the white architecture- and the light inside there was great with those large glass windows. (Something to take note of though if you’re looking for a Blue Water Convention Center wedding photographer- ask to see their work with flash too, because that bright backlit window wall isn’t for the faint of heart or the lack of lighting skills.)

We did a first look by the river; the overcast day allowed us to go practically anywhere without the blazing afternoon sun blinding people. Their wedding party brought the actual party- they had us cracking up pretty much the entire time. After their first look their ceremony was relaxed and sweet. We love a good mid-aisle dip kiss too, so well done with that, Kyle.

Their reception was so much fun. They played drinking games on the dance floor and the dancing was non-stop and full of life and fun.
