Our Favorite Wedding Moments of 2017 | Part Two
Earlier this week we brought you all our favorite bridal trends that we saw happen this past year, while also making a promise that we would be back later with the rest of our weddings from 2017, because, frankly, they were all too amazing in their own ways. Instead of focusing on the trends though, we wanted to switch it up and chat about some of our favorite moments that we documented this past year. Often times, as professional wedding photographers, we look back at weddings and will remember certain aspects or tidbits of things that stood out from other weddings, and we love witnessing those, and sharing them. So this blog post is devoted to our favorite wedding moments of 2017. We can’t wait to share more upcoming wedding moments with you in 2018, too!
Private Vow Exchange:
We are going to kick part 2 off with a look at Kevin and Erin’s wedding from back in April of 2017. They were the first to start the private vow exchange in combination with a first look that stole our hearts in 2017. Also, look at this location for photos! An Orchard in full bloom in the springtime is like a dream come true.

Organic Beauty:
Dan and Natasha’s wedding was stunning. From the floral crowns, floral reception dress, the picture-perfect venue with tons of natural beauty, to the sweetest moment we witnessed; when Dan gave Natasha’s daughter Teagan her very own ring. We love seeing how couples bring their children into the moment with them, and this ring exchange was one of the sweetest moments we’ve captured to date.

Unique Decor:
Next up was Eric and Ashley. They seriously wowed us with their creative pineapple decor. Ashley also carried on the floral crown trend and rocked it. She really turned the Bean Dock into a pineapple paradise, and made the place look unique and colorful. We loved sneaking away with them and capturing their love on the beach, as well.
Unique & Nontraditional Ceremonies:
Craig and Kristy did something we had not seen yet. They had a nontraditional and unique ceremony where all their friends and family surrounded them as they exchanged vows. It made the ceremony feel intimate and personal, even with the 100+ guests.
Wedding Celebration:
Steve and Karen also had a fun take on their wedding. They originally eloped to Colorado, and had a gorgeous ceremony there that was intimate and lovely. However, they wanted to host a private celebration party for only their closest friends and family. They threw one heck of a party. The food was spectacular as was the entertainment. It felt like a fabulous party that you didn’t want to end. We also LOVED Karen’s backless dress that she pulled off effortlessly.

Disney Themed Wedding:
Mike and Danielle’s wedding was full of Disney themed decor and could be the inspiration for any fairy tale event. Everything was tasteful and elegant, while also being playful and fun. It was totally representative of their relationship with each other.

Destination Weddings:
Destination weddings seem to be becoming more popular and we fully support it! Josh and Hope’s Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania wedding wowed us with the black and gold colors. They also had a huge group of rowdy friends that were so much fun to photograph! This was also the 3rd doughnut bar we saw in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. Yum!

Circus Themed Wedding:
Mike and Brooke took the custom wedding theme to a whole new level with their circus extravaganza. Everything was bright and colorful and chock full of happiness.

Picture- Perfect Dress:
Jeff and Ashley had a perfect summer wedding with the gorgeous weather, but what really stood out for us was her show-stopping dress!

Ohio Destination Wedding:
Jay and Lisa’s destination wedding in Hocking Hills, Ohio was one of our favorite weekends. It was a relaxing fun vacation and we celebrated for days versus just one night. They also had a first look in front of one of the original cabins from the late 1800’s.

Classic & Beautiful Color Combos:
Jesse and Melissa had one of our very favorite color combinations. They utilized lots of blue and green colors, which are both bold colors, but they pair beautifully with each other and create a gorgeous combination that is natural and classic.

Plantation Place Wedding Barn:
Brad and Jen were married at one of our FAVORITE venues for both ceremony and reception! Every detail was perfectly planned to complement the fabulous location. We also loved the emotion when Jen’s grandparents first greeted the bride & groom.

Fall-themed decor:
Chris and Jessica’s fall inspired wedding was full of beautiful decor. Rain all day didn’t damper this event and the groom’s cake was a surprise like nothing we’ve ever seen before.
