Michigan Autumn Wedding at Solitude Links | Jessica & Logan

Jessica and Logan had the most beautiful Michigan Autumn wedding at Solitude Links last weekend. If there ever was a theme of “autumn wedding”- the two of them absolutely nailed it. The details around the venue were seriously popping off (as our 13 year old daughters would all say) and the colors made the theme seriously come to life in the absolute best way.

Jessica and Logan’s wedding at Solitude Links was a total dream. It was fall, so the weather was kind of iffy all day because of the hurricane down south threatening heavy rain, but we were hoping for a miracle. And boy, did we get one! The sky was super dramatic and beautiful, and it looked like it might rain any minute.

Right when they were about to take their couple portraits, though, the heavens opened up and it started pouring! But instead of freaking out, they just laughed and kissed under the rain and we tried to keep them tucked underneath trees as much as we possibly could. They were wonderful sports about it, and we were so glad that the weather cooperated all day for them, up until this point. After that, we headed indoors and got their reception party started. They had a fire box entrance, and the awesome DJ brought out the big guns with their dance floor being transformed into an actual smokeshow that made them look like they were floating on a cloud. (It’s dry ice- no smoke involved.)

We got the chance to work with our favorite videographer again (Kristin from Ackerman & Co.) so that immediately made things fun from a vendor side of things. As a shameless side note, she sometimes has a preferred vendor discount option available, so if you’re in the market for a wedding videographer, we cannot recommend her higher. But, she’s a busy super human, so book soon and in advance.

If you’re getting married in 2025, we’d love to chat with you. Contact us soon!
