Impression Farms Wedding Photography

We first met Krystal and Justin a while back because she’s friends with Courtney and owns a really great local home cleaning business in the Port Huron area. Her family also farms in Avoca & offers local beef. When she got engaged to Justin, they began planning their wedding and booked us to do their Impression Farms wedding photography for their wedding on October 7, 2023.

October 7th, 2023, also known as what felt like the first true crisp, autumn day in Michigan. It was the perfect day for a wedding.

Krystal and Justin exchanged vows at Impression Farms, a beautiful farm wedding venue in rural Michigan. The ceremony was held outdoors, in a clearing surrounded by trees with their leaves turning brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow. It complimented the bridesmaid’s dresses in assorted colors perfectly, and it was just the best combination of all the prettiest tones that really brought out all the shades of autumn.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the barn yard area. The weather was perfect, and everyone had a great time mingling and enjoying the beautiful scenery and signature cocktails that involved lemonade and sweet tea vodka.

The reception was held in the barn, which had been decorated with fall-themed accents. There were pumpkins, candles, and gourds, and the tables were set with plaid tablecloths and wooden pumpkin centerpieces. They also had an “entrance contest” where the members of their wedding party had a competition for the best/loudest entrance, and the prize was $100 for the winning couple. You won’t want to miss the photos from that- it was hysterical (and may have included inflatable costumes.)

As the evening went on, the temperature started to drop, the rain began to fall, but no one seemed to mind. Guests huddled together under the porch and laughed as they danced and celebrated Krystal and Justin’s new beginning. There was even a double rainbow that appeared in the clearing (what does it mean?) and we sprinted outdoors after dinner for a photo with the two of them and their adorable rainbow baby Charlotte.

We loved working at Impression Farms again, and love this new rustic addition for wedding venues in the Port Huron area. Bonus that both of us actually live in Clyde too- so it’s super close and local for us country gals. Fun fact: June 2024 is already completely booked for weddings with Mulberry & Sage. If you’re planning an upcoming wedding, please reach out to us ASAP to schedule a free consultation.
