Last Friday we spent a very special day with Emily and Troy at their Youngblood Vineyard wedding. We loved the opportunity to be their Detroit Vineyard Wedding Photographer and we love any and all reasons to spend the day at Youngblood, because it’s quickly becoming one of our favorite Metro Detroit wedding venues. 

Before we get into the photos and their previews, here are some key elements that we will always remember about Emily and Troy’s wedding:

The date was actually supposed to be on a Friday in August. Emily’s dad was admitted to the hospital, so they changed their date to September 29, 2023. You’d never know that the date was going to be a different one and that they changed it weeks before the original one in August; all the personalization was spot on to their September date, the wedding colors matched the autumn vibes, it was all seriously beautiful. With that said, Emily’s dad ended up getting out of the hospital on the morning of September 29th. He rallied to walk his beautiful daughter down the aisle, and it was emotional and uniquely special to everyone.

Their ceremony was officiated by her uncle, and their vows were perfect for them- and included references to Barbie and Ken, and even watching Michigan State football on Saturdays.

Emily cut her hair during her wedding reception! Well, *she* didn’t cut it- her hair stylist was in attendance and they went into a back room and did a fun little makeover when everyone was finishing up their dinner.

The weather was beautiful and the perfect early autumn day in Michigan. We love to see it.
