You may remember Casey and Philip from their beautiful autumn engagement photography session last year. We were thrilled when their 2022 wedding day finally arrived on Oct. 29th. While the title may be misleading, we loved being their Memphis Wedding photographer team…did you know that Michigan has a Memphis too? As luck would have it, Megan’s brother lives in Memphis TN, so if you happened to find us there, we love to travel. ha! As we were saying, their wedding ceremony was in Memphis, and we loved the scenic short drive out in the country to their church, as well as visiting Phil’s old family farm where the old farmhouse used to stand for photos afterward. 

Casey and Phil have a fun relationship. They’re very natural around each other, snuggling and laughing often. It was a true joy to capture. They also have an awesome group of friends and family that love them and show their support in so many ways. That part was super obvious from their hype squad wedding party, to the legit party that happened on the dance floor later that night.

After we visited the barn, we went and did some photos around Lighthouse Park in Port Huron, and then went on to their reception at the Blue Water Convention Center. We got to chill with one of our favorite fellow vendors and party master extraordinaries, Ultimate Sounds DJ. The reception and party were so much fun. It was the day of the U of M and MSU game but since it was a night game it was fun walking around to the different tables and getting score highlights from the propped up phones. It kind of felt like one of those “Pure Michigan” moments, but maybe that’s just because we are avid fans (by “we” – that basically means Megan. Go Blue!) Casey ended the evening with an outfit change into a sparkly jumpsuit that was legit fire. It looked so good and was the perfect transition into the afterparty.
