About a week ago, we had the pleasure of staying local and being Stephanie and Jared’s Port Huron Double Tree Wedding Photography. Any time that we have the opportunity to share the beauty of our own city and “backyard” we jump at it. Stephanie and Jared met us through a referral from Jared’s sister Morgan, who’s another photographer in the PH area. She was kind enough to send them our way, so she could enjoy attending the wedding as a guest, rather than a “job.”

Stephanie and Jared met a while back (6ish years?) and Jared said he was immediately attracted to Stephanie’s competitive attitude and extroverted nature. Those qualities really shone through in their wedding too- and they shared the sweetest vows to each other that made people giggle and also feel heartfelt. They wanted to do a “first shot” together before their ceremony, so we arranged them to do that without actually seeing each other. Their ceremony was performed by Jared’s cousin, and adding that extra special touch was so fun. After their ceremony, we went exploring down by the river and did some photos with their wedding party, and ended with some beautiful photos of the couple before sending them back inside for their grand entrance and dinner.

Once their dance floor opened up, the party legit started. It was probably one of the best dance floors we’ve shot in a long time; it really helps that Jared loves to dance and he and his groomsmen were tearing the place up with the sickest moves. They also love 80’s music “throwbacks” so it was great to not hear the Casper Slide for the first time in a really long time (nothing against that song- truly. But…after 20+ weddings a year, she gets kind of tired for us.)
