Michigan Travel Wedding Photographer | Allie & Cody
Allie and Cody got married last Friday at the beautiful Solitude Links Golf Course in Kimball, Michigan. While we may not consider Kimball a destination for the two of us, Solitude Links is the perfect venue for the couple looking to travel and get that Up-North feel, but keeping it within an hour of the Metro Detroit location. That’s how Allie and Cody found it, actually, since neither of them are from the area but they have so many memories of camping at the KOA in the Port Huron area as kids, so it was the perfect spot for us to be their Michigan travel wedding photographer team.
We first met Allie and Cody last fall closer to their home, for their Downtown Detroit engagement session. We had a great time trekking through the city with them, learning about the two of them and why they’re each glad that they swiped right, and their upcoming wedding plans. We got to meet a couple of Allie’s friends at their engagement session, and it was fun walking into their house and almost like we’re walking into a group of old friends. And their dog Fynn in his little tuxedo? What a show-stopping gentleman. The goodest of boys.
We had a great time at Solitude, as usual. Jen and her team go out of their way to be organized, punctual, and professional. Jen was even literally hand sewing a groomsmen’s button onto his jacket because it didn’t come with one. We aren’t kidding we we say be-yond.
If you’re looking for the perfect Michigan travel wedding destination, we highly recommend Solitude Links Golf Course. The grounds are stunning, the log cabin style indoors is the perfect mixture of rustic and chic, and the food and experience is always top notch for everyone. The wait staff even pride themselves on teaching popular wedding dances to the dance floor at the end of the night.
