Wadhams Engagement Session | Erin & Matt
Erin and Matt had their Wadhams engagement session with us last night. Lucky re-schedule #3 in fact, because the first two times we tried to meet up, Michigan weather threw us a curve ball and rained. And this session wasn’t without a couple hiccups, either. It was supposed to be in one location, but because of all the recent rain it’s completely flooded out. So we switched it to the Wadhams to Avoca trail and I’m so glad we did, because it was stunning.
Remember we said we’ve had lots of rain recently? Well, pair that with the recent 70-80 degree weather we’ve had this past week and all he standing water everywhere, and it’s a recipe for mosquito disaster. They were out in full force yesterday, and Erin and Matt just powered through it, completely un-phased. Total rockstars, because we were slapping them away and squealing left and right.
Erin and Matt were set up by friends, and met on a party bus for Erin’s birthday. Erin and Matt are getting married next September in Almont, Michigan. We loved getting to know them better, and seeing how they “fit” together as a couple. That’s why we love doing engagement sessions, because each couple and person is unique. The way you move together. The way your bodies mold together, even when casually standing. These are all things that we learn about in an engagement session, and makes for an easier wedding day ultimately in the long run, because we don’t have to spend that “discovery time” during your portraits. We also get to see what type of photo you choose as your favorites, and what you gravitate towards (and sometimes even what you don’t love.)
If you’d like to get together for an engagement session while the weather is still warm out, we have availability in November! We’d love to connect and chat.
