Saturday’s Michigan intimate wedding felt extra-special, because I can honestly say that I’ve known the bride and her family since elementary school. Annalee and Dan got married officially on October 9, 2021. But this isn’t the first time that you’ve seen them on the blog, and (my favorite part) is that it isn’t the last time, either. You see, their Oct. 2021 wedding was intimate, with just very close family involved. But they’re planning a pretty great April 2022 wedding, and we’re so thrilled to hang out with everyone again and celebrate with their friends and extended family then, too.

Annalee and Dan have been friends for years, and their romance blossomed into the perfect union that is so obvious. They are two peas in a pod; Daniel is an actor, and Anna is an actress and dancer. Their passion for the arts, theater, and music was obvious in their intimate wedding, in fact. Quotes from Disney were in the vows. Speaking of the vows- there wasn’t a dry eye in the building (including from yours truly. Not much “gets me,” but oy! I was wiping tears while clicking the shutter.)

Their wedding was officiated by the bride’s brother (and he did a stellar job) and took place at the chapel at the Burtchville Cemetery. That may sound strange, but this location was gorgeous! I’m actually adding it to my list of local locations for portraits, because the foliage was beautiful and the white chapel and the windows and quant nature of it was beautiful. After that, we headed to their dinner party at The Voyageur in St. Clair, and did some pretty photos right on the boardwalk there. The day and weather was perfect, the blue skies came out to play and the curve of the river that is tree-lined gave just the perfect element of autumn.
