We first connected with Sarah and Justin earlier in the year when they were looking for Port Huron City Flats Wedding photographers in the area. We love being two hometown girls, and working with other local people. 

We met up with them on their wedding day on August 14th, 2021 at City Flats Hotel in Port Huron. Megan went with the guys, and Courtney spent some time with the girls before their ceremony time. After their ceremony, we hopped in the party bus and headed to the beach for their portraits. Since it was literally the most perfect Michigan summer day of low 70’s weather and bright and sunny, the beach area was packed with people enjoying the day. So we had to find some creative areas tucked away so that there was space for their wedding party to all hang out and get some great photos that didn’t include tons of people in the background, or getting trampled.

After we were finished in the beach and the surrounding park area, we headed back downtown for some great photos in the area immediately around their venue; that’s one of the reasons why we love shooting at City Flats so much- because there are so many great photo locations that aren’t super mainstream, work all day for light, and are pretty.

Their reception was very sweet, we love that Justin’s brother Steve had Justin’s sons present Sarah with a piece of sentimental jewelry, and the genuine tears that it brought to both their eyes. (So sweet! We love emotion so much.) We also enjoyed the party poppers that the wedding party brought, that made for some ultra-fun photos full of celebration and life.
