We first met Grace and Andrew back in 2019, when they were planning their June 2020 wedding. And then COVID happened, and friends and family being in attendance meant far too much to them to scale their event back, so they postponed their event to June of 2021. We were thrilled they chose us to be their St. Clair Inn wedding photographer team. Megan and Serena got to tag team this all-day event, and hang out on the river with the two of them all day (and it was H-O-T. But they handled it like champs.)

Grace and Andrew met in college in Detroit, and the rest is history. They love history, boating, and all things nautical, so their nautical themed wedding at the newly opened (remodeled) St. Clair Inn was perfect. We had never photographed there since they remodeled it, and the changes were phenomenal. They completely built these guest houses on the property, and they were a dream to photograph in. Everything was brand new, top of the line, and every single detail was thought of in the process.

Their ceremony and mass was in a local church in St. Clair, and Grace’s aunt and uncle surprised the couple with a signed and personalized certificate of marriage blessing from the (actual) Pope, himself. It was so cool and such a great grand gesture and surprise for the couple. While we had planned on walking to/from the ceremony and doing some photos in town, the weather was over 80 degrees that day; luckily the Inn itself wasn’t lacking any photo-worthy locations, from the board walk to the hidden speak easy that they toasted a special bourbon together with their wedding party. The couple also hired a great band that kept the party going.
