Romeo Michigan Engagement Session | Elizabeth & Charles
Last week was a busy one for us; we got the chance to head about 45 minutes southeast to meet up with Elizabeth and Charles and be their Romeo Michigan engagement photographer. This session was particularly unique for us, because they’re actually getting married this Friday, so their engagement session was about a week and a half before their wedding. It just proves that there really isn’t a set-in-stone timeline when it comes to booking an engagement session.
To begin with, engagement sessions are a good way for us to get to know you as a couple. We feel like we harp on this often, but it’s an informal way of learning more about the two of you, your relationship, and how you “fit” together (physically and emotionally.) Each couple is unique, has different characteristics, has a different way their bodies flow, and each couple’s relationship is also different. Anyways, enough about that.
The reason why we went to Romeo is because these photos were shot on Elizabeth’s childhood home, and the beautiful property. It’s currently for sale, and she wanted one last photo session to commemorate this life’s milestone, before it’s sold. The rolling hills, the large pond, the big trees- we just couldn’t get enough of it. And it was also so fun to hear about the two of them too. They met at work, and currently still work together. Charlie is from the United Kingdom (and has a “cheeky accent” to match) and Elizabeth is born and raised in Michigan. Elizabeth likes to race motorcycles, and Charlie likes to hang on tight and go along for the wild ride. It was so fun to hear about. We loved their makeshift picnic by the pond, their relationship and story, and the historical tie-in being at the farm.
We plan to spam you within the next few weeks with their image, but in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this small preview into when we were their Romeo Michigan engagement photographer team. If you’re engaged, we’d love to chat and are booking quickly into 2022.
