Port Huron LGBTQ+ Wedding Photography | Rachel & Danielle

Port Huron Same Sex wedding photographerHappy pride month, friends! Today we get to share a love story that is 9 years in the making. We can fully agree, along with most of their friends-it’s about time! We were thrilled when Rachel and Danielle trusted us to be their Port Huron same sex wedding photographer, and thought there was no better way to celebrate love and pride than post in the month of June.

Rachel & Danielle were married June 12th, 2021 at Alexander’s in Marysville. Before the ceremony we spent most of our time downtown Port Huron where we could stick close to the water. Danielle and Rachel are avid boaters. They belong to the Black River Boat Club and have more than one boat. In fact, our last wedding planning consultation took place on their boat as we cruised the river & lake. (Huge bonus points with us there by the way) As you may have guessed from Danielles’ tattoo’s she is a huge Harry Potter fan. If you look closely, her bouquet was hand made from Harry Potter story pages by one of her super crafty bridesmaids.

Rachel was also sporting a new tattoo. She has a cat above her right elbow. She is obsessed with felines but Danielle is incredibly allergic, so (unfortunately) that is the closest a cat will get in their home. Besides boats, harry potter, and cats, I would say the next best thing in their lives are their friends and family. They are incredibly supportive, loving and a little bit crazy in the best way. Both sides of the bridal party were outrageously fun. Our faces hurt from smiling and laughing along with everyone as we captured their day. The Trolley ride alone was a memory we won’t soon forget. “You need to calm down” by Taylor Swift has lived on repeat in our head since their wedding.

Overall the love Danielle and Rachel share was a joy to capture. They talked about visiting different cities for pride parades each year to celebrate their anniversary and we are here for that. We would love to tag along and document their anniversary milestones, at the very least the big ones 😉 If you are looking for a LGBTQ+ wedding photographer for your upcoming event we would love to talk more.
