Metro Detroit Wedding Photography Team | MaryLyn & Chris
We met MaryLyn and Chris back last fall during their engagement photography session in Port Huron. They both live about an hour away and were looking for a Metro Detroit Wedding Photography team for their upcoming May 2021 wedding at Solitude Links. Solitude Links is the perfect remote location for those couples looking for that “up north” feel in a venue, but don’t want to drive that far. The 45-50 min commute into the Port Huron area is an easy shot, and the location is one of our favorite “hidden gems.”
MaryLyn and Chris met at the hospital; Chris is an EMT and was transporting a patient to the emergency room, and MaryLyn is an ER nurse. He got her phone number from her friend, and started texting her. The rest is history. MaryLyn stepped in and is the best bonus mom to Chris’ two sons, and their life together is natural and easy.
Their wedding at Solitude Links was great; the weather was a perfect spring day in the 50’s, and the sky was amazing. It had big clouds that created drama, and a stunning sunset at the end of the day. We were able to have the reception indoors because of the number of guests in attendance and the recent guideline change. MaryLyn’s dress fit her perfectly, and we were both obsessed with how her makeup really highlighted her eyes. She looked like such a classic Hollywood bride. The bridal party was fun and energetic and full of jokes and joy. We also really loved MaryLyn’s “first dance” with the boys, and the sentiment that was there during that touching moment.
We love photographing at Solitude Links, and enjoyed being Chris and MaryLyn’s Metro Detroit Wedding Photography team. If you’re getting married in Michigan and in the market for a wedding photographer team, we would love to connect.
