A couple weeks ago, we met up with Shannon and Brad about 30 min north of Port Huron for their Lexington Christmas Photo Session. The Lexington Michigan area is special to the two of them, because that’s where they are both from, and also where they met. They met in high school, and started dating. They kept their relationship strong as they both attended (different) colleges (in the same general vicinity, though.)

We love the little Village of Lexington, and how it feels like such a “destination” but yet is so local for us. We don’t photograph there nearly as much as we’d like, because it’s hard to sell that extra half an hour many times when we’re working with couples who are located in the Metro Detroit area and driving up to the Blue Water Area. Luckily, Shannon and Brad came home for the weekend (they have since moved away) and hung out with family for the weekend, and then we met up on a Sunday evening in downtown Lexington to take advantage of the cute village’s Christmas decorations around. The two of them were troopers, because it was COLD outside. The “feels like” temp was in the teens, and they roughed the lakeside wind without coats for most of their session. I guess that’s how those born and raised Michiganders roll, huh? We tried to keep moving and their session involved lots of snuggles and walking, compared to sitting and being wind-blown.

They will be getting married next October at Alexander’s in Marysville, and we’re so excited to hang out with them again. They were so sweet, and kind, and bubbly. We’re both obsessed with Shannon’s curly hair, and her beautiful eyes, and every girl deserves to be loved the way that Brad (visibly) loves Shannon. It’s so obvious in the photos, and so beautiful to witness. We hope you enjoy this small glimpse into their Lexington Christmas Photo Session.
