Michigan Tiny Wedding | Amber & Michael
You may remember Amber and Michael from their beautiful Lapeer County engagement session that we did on her parent’s property in Metamora. Amber and Michael’s wedding was originally scheduled for mid-May, but then 2020 happened, and…well, plans hit the fan (and exploded into 70 billion little pieces.) Since the entire state was still shut down in May, they decided to postpone their large wedding at their original venue, and return to her parent’s property and do a Michigan tiny wedding instead.
When we talk about her parent’s property though, this place is unlike most others. We maintain the fact that the light there is legitimately magical. It also was a beautiful wedding for us to “return to work,” because it was officially our first 2020 wedding of the season (2 months later, but….you know.) Instead of getting married in front of a crowd, they paired back their guest list and turned it into an intimate micro wedding. All the details were stunning. The florals had us in awe all day. Amber looked breathtaking. Michael’s looks towards his bride were so fun and intimate to watch. Her Dad cried during the entire ceremony. All of the emotions were there, and the low-key backyard aspect of it all made it all feel special and tender.
Speaking of the details, this was our first time working with Alyssa from Fluerology Designs out of Grand Rapids, and it was so much fun. She was both the florist, and day-of coordinator that made sure that everything was decorated to the nines, as well as running smoothly. The bouquets were easily some of the most unique we’ve ever seen, and really was a beautiful, delicate and soft accent to the (already beautiful) scenery. It was a H-O-T day, and everyone held it together great- including listening to both of us as we struggled to give photo directions without touching anyone, and using masks. (because #covid)
We hope you enjoy this small preview into Amber and Michael’s Michigan tiny wedding. Any day that spotlights true love is beautiful, regardless of it was originally in the “plan” or not. We’d love to chat about how we can help fit into your special wedding day, too. Shoot us an email: hello@mulberryandsage.com
